[faq] Do I need to download a new licence when updating mxORB?

When updating mxORB to the latest version you do not need to download and import your licence file (from Licence Management). The update setup program will use your existing licence information which is stored in the registry.

When to download and import a licence file

There are some situations that require you to re-download and import your licence file:

• when you do a fresh install of the latest version of mxORB, having previously uninstalled the original version
• if your licence settings in the registry have been incorrectly modified and need to be refreshed with information from your licence file
• you have asked us to change the registered user or company name of the licence
