mxORB

mxORB 2.2.2 update now available

mxORB 2.2.2 is now available for download here. It is strongly recommended that all existing mxORB users update their installation as soon as possible.

Note: This update can only be applied to mxORB 2.2 and 2.2.1 installations. If you are using an older version of mxORB you must upgrade to mxORB 2.2 or 2.2.1 before installing this update.

Upgrading to mxORB 2.2.2

To update to mxORB 2.2.2 follow the steps below. Note that the upgrade will involve a short period of downtime for your mail server and may possibly require a reboot.

1. Log-on as Administrator on the server where mxORB is installed
2. Download the mxORB 2.2.2 update (mxORBUpdate222.exe) setup program here
3. Stop the SMTP service (see [faq] How do I stop the SMTP service? for more information)
4. Ensure the mxORB configuration tool is not running
5. Run the setup program downloaded in step 2 and follow the on-screen prompts
6. Allow the setup program to restart your server if necessary
7. Start the SMTP service (see [faq] How do I start the SMTP service? for more information)

mxORB 2.2.2 should then be installed on your system. To verify, check the version number on the About tab of the configuration tool.

What's New in mxORB 2.2.2?

The following additions, modifications and fixes have been made for this release of mxORB.

• Added Select All and Unselect All buttons to the Import and Export Settings wizards
• Updated Zafi virus filter to include Zafi.D variant
• Fixed incorrect conversion to lower case for regular expressions in the Whitelist, Blacklist and Attachment filters (knowledge base article [problem] Regular expressions are converted to lower case)
• Fixed Internet database lookups to handle timeout errors gracefully
• Fixed licence error caused by some non-English versions of Windows
• Fixed minor cosmetic problems in the configuration tool
